Nina had been looking forward to this date for weeks. James had promised her a romantic evening on his apartment's rooftop, with a view of the city skyline. She imagined candlelit dinner, soft jazz playing in the background, and the two of them dancing under the stars. When she arrived, James was waiting, a nervous but hopeful smile on his face.
