Don't use air! You must use nitrous oxide.
You have to use N2O/laughing gas, then you won't have such problems! Air is far too dangerous and can cause fatal embolisms!
i use a baby bubbles air pump, 30 inch tube, and 16 gage needle. no matter how tight i. tie off i get air in my thighs and lower abdomen? lasts several weeks and longer
